Fighting auditory hallucinations by using Virtual Reality simulation training

What we do

HekaVR is at the forefront of groundbreaking research and development in the field of mental health. Our focus lies in providing evidence-based therapies for patients suffering from auditory hallucinations, particularly those diagnosed with treatment-resistant schizophrenia. Through the application of cutting-edge virtual reality technology and real-time voice modulation, we offer a novel and immersive approach to psychological treatment.

HekaVR began as The Challenge Project, a research endeavor in collaboration with Region Hovedstaden, Region Syddanmark and Region Nord in Denmark, funded by Innovation Fund Denmark and BioInnovation Institute. Today, we stand as HekaVR, a spin-off company of Khora Virtual Reality, driving the evolution of mental health care with a patient-centered approach. We pride ourselves on fostering inclusivity and embracing diversity in our research and clinical collaborations across continents while advancing mental health care and empowering patients to confront their auditory hallucinations in a safe, controlled, and therapeutic environment.
