New publication: Efficacy and feasibility of avatar therapy in a Hungarian cohort

Published in Acta Psychologica, the study evaluates a modified VR-based avatar therapy protocol delivered to a Hungarian cohort of patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders. Participants created and dialogued with an avatar embodying their most distressing voice, with early findings pointing to both clinical benefit and strong feasibility in routine psychiatric care.

The work extends the growing international evidence base for avatar therapy and adds a Central European implementation perspective to earlier findings from Denmark, Spain and Australia.
